TIME IS GETTING AWAY FROM US

Today, I am realizing time is ticking! I needed to get on here and blog a few thoughts or happenings.
We have been quite busy with the kids starting school and Taremba beginning his new job. The kids love their school and look forward to it everyday. I pray, "Lord, cause them to seek knowledge and have all understanding and wisdom."
Johanne is doing great! He is becoming such a gentleman. He really has a love for knowledge. Reading is his delight right now. He wants to do all that he does with excellence. He also enjoys making things with his hands. The other day his grandma gave him a lego helicopter and little man that he had to put together. He can spend hours in his room just with his legos created his own world. Lord I ask that you would strengthen that desire to see things to completion in him. Cause him to go after the things that please your heart.
Hannah is a girly as ever. She is taking two dance classes. One class is at school (creative movement) and one is at the local gym(hip hop). She is a beauty to be with. Her heart is so sensitive to the Lord. She can enter into His presence so quickly. She is a prayer warrior I just know she moves God's heart into motion.
Taremba is well. His new job has him working long hours. He gets the weekends off so no complaining here! God is so good to us. Time and time again we see His hand upon our lives. He so remains faithful. Taremba said once to me ,"The problem with faithfulness is not with God, it's with us." Oh, isn't that so true. My prayer for us is to remain faithful to Him through the ups and downs, the struggles and temptations, and the persecutions.
We as a family want you all to know we pray for you continually. Our prayer for you is that He would in His great glory give you the power to be strong inwardly through His Spirit. We pray that Christ would live in your hearts by faith and that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. Oh that you would have the power to understand the greatness of Christ's love-how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is. We pray that you would be filled with the fullness of Christ. With God's power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine(Eph 3:14-20).

We want to ask for your prayers also:
1. Good health during these intense seasons we have here.
2. That we would grow in the knowledge of God and who He truely is.
3. Taremba would be able to walk in what he has been called to do.
His heart is to minister the Word of God in full time ministry.
4. That we would get direction on when and how to go to Zimbabwe.
5. For Taremba's mom she is quite ill with asthma. We are trying to see if we can go there to bring her back with us to the USA.
6. For wisdom and direction.
7. Finacial breakthrough to be able to walk through the doors
that are opening for us in this time.

Thank you, friends and family for your love for us. We look forward to hearing from you and your family.

Blessings,

Taremba, Corinne, Johanne, and Hannah Mae

OUR PART IN THIS GLOBAL PRAYER MOVEMENT

In 1000 BC the Tabernacle of David was established. King David set up a tent on Mount Zion when He returned the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 15:1).Within the tent he instituted a new order of worship that was unlike anything which proceded it. David appointed thousands of singers and musicians who ministered day and night to the Lord. They continued this for 33 years (1 Chron 16:37, 23:5, 25:6-7; 2 Samuel 5:5).
Throughout history there has been pockets of time where night and day prayer have been established. IHOP(International House of Prayer) started a prayer meeting on September 19, 1999 that has since continued 24/7. We function as a base with nearly 1,000 staff members raising their own support.
I encourage you to be a part of the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City, MO; just one small part in God's amazing timeline.

TAKE THE FIRE OF PRAYER BACK HOME
The missions base provides an ideal opportunity for all who wish to get away from routine of life and be with God in a focused environment. You can find renewal in the 24/7 prayerroom, attend a conference, or purchase resources from our bookstore to take back home.

KEEP THE FIRE BURNING THROUGH GIVING
The prayer room is kept in motion by the giving of those whose hearts have been stirred by what is happening here in Kansas City. Partners don't necessarily live in the immediate area, but are stilled joined to us by their ongoing financial giving.

FUEL THE PRAYER ROOM THROUGH HIGHER EDUCATION
IHOP humbly seeks to redefine higher education through night and day prayer. Whether in the classroom, in the middle of the prayer room or online, all students are immersed in the practical and biblical foundations of a lifestyle of intimacy with Jesus.

PREPARE FOR A NEW LIFESTYLE
In the day and in the night, from teens to retirees and singles to families, our internships are uniquely designed to offer opportunities to be equipped for a lfestyle of prayer, fasting, and worship. The abandoned pursuit of Jesus and preparation for His return ia our common call.

KEEP THE FIRE ON THE ALTAR BURNING
The prayer room is the heartbeat-the essence and origin-of all that goes on at the missions base. It is kept in motion by full- and part-time singers, musicians, intercessors and worship leaders. Our staff members have come from all over the world to give their lives to keep the fire on the alter going night and day.

YOUR INVOLVEMENT, WHATEVER IT MAY BE, MAKES THE PRAYER ROOM TURN.

"ACROSS TEH GLOBE, MEN AND WOMAEN OF GOD ARE LONGING FOR A NEW EXPRESSION OF CHRISTIANITY-ONE THAT WILL ONLY COME FORTH FROM NIGHT AND DAY WORSHIP AND PRAYER."

Defend the cause of the Fatherless

Isaiah 1:17 says, "Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow." Isaiah 58:6-8 says, "Is this not the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of the injustice...to set the oppressed free...Is it not to share food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter...Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear."
Malachi 4:6
Before the Great Day of the Lord(His return), He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers. It is God's plan to reach and take care of the fatherless. Jas 1:27 says that this is true religion.
What is our part in this? Is it to adopt and take in 10 kids off the street? What is he calling us to? He is calling the hearts of the fathers to turn to the children. He is giving us the formula for our healings. Our healing will come quickly when we care for the widows and the orphans. It is clear what we have to do. We have to do something and to each it might look differently. We need to pray that out and see what our part is to play but let us not be still. This is a call to action(pray, support, funding, raising up, etc...)whatever that looks like for you.

Many Americans including Christians seem to believe that we ought to live in a mad (crazy) world. We certainly think otherwise. This is not about the election or endorsing any one particular candidate. It's about moral justice of a Nation. Let us not cover our eyes and ears when it comes to the issue of the shedding of innocent blood. Lord, have mercy on us.

TODAY'S DISCOVERY

Prayer is so important and effective in this age we live in. During this time in our life it seems that is all we know for sure. I was telling Taremba the other day that we need to rely on the one thing we know, that is God. This is where faith comes into play, when your life is not for sure or going the way you would like it to. The only for sure thing we know is God and His faithfulness. God and His goodness. God and His bigger plan.
Thank you, God for having each and everyone of us in the palm of your hand. Lord, cause us to be like the bride and come out of the wilderness leaning on you. She understood that her lover was her strength. She depended on him even for her steps. God give us this revelation(Song of Solomon 8:5). She clings to Him. She had desparate dependence on Him. She is depending on her beloved for help with every step. During difficulties or crisis(the wildreness) the secret place becomes our source of survival. It's only in Him that we can survive.

TODAY'S DISCOVERY

Today I discovered that my kids are getting too old too fast. I am watching them prepare for school and they don't need me to help brush their teeth, put lotion on, pour a bowl of cereal, or even buckle up in the car anymore. I love them so much and love each stage they are going through. It is so fun and exciting watching them grow up to be awesome lovers of God.

Thank you God for my children. Lord cause them to grow deep in the knowledge of your love for them.

The Call Washington DC

Our Trip to Washington DC

Man! We have been really busy! We just got back from The Call DC. Yes, Washington DC, where the president lives!!!

We had such a good time. My mom(Penny) and I took the kids. The guys had to stay they couldn't make it. We left Tuesday and drove all the way to DC. Well we actually stayed the night in Ohio and took our time. On Thursday and Friday we were able to do some sight seeing. Then on Saturday we attended The Call DC.

For those who don't know what The Call is:

TheCall is a divinely initiated, multi-racial, multi-generational, and cross-denominational gathering to corporate prayer and fasting. We believe that our nation is in desperate need of the mercy of God and a great Spiritual Awakening. TheCall is committed to mobilizing people from all across America to gather together to petition God for His undeserved mercy for our nation in 12-hour solemn assemblies. Just as in the days of Joel, we believe that now is the time to blow the trumpet across our land, to fast, to pray, and return to the Lord with all our hearts. In the midst of an “entertainment” driven society, TheCall does not seek to entertain, but to encounter God. Unlike other mass gatherings which attract people through the rhythms of loud music, the glamour of flashing lights, or through the appeal of charismatic personalities, TheCall is a gathering centered around the affections of a loving God. There will be no advertised bands and no promoted speakers, as our purpose is not to promote any man or ministry. TheCall is a FAST not a festival. TheCall is a SOLEMN ASSEMBLY not a conference. Whereas conferences focus primarily on training and discipleship, the 12 hours of TheCall are spent primarily before the Lord in the place of prayer and worship. We believe the hour is late and the times are urgent. Our nation is in desperate need of revival and it will be only through the corporate body of Christ uniting in the place of prayer that we will find any hope in this hour. We believe we can see our nation changed as the Lord pours out His Spirit and brings refreshing to the broken, destitute, and the weary across our land.

It was an experience of a life time. To be part of something that is changing history. Going to my first Call revived me. This is my purpose to call out for justice, mercy, and God's glory to come to earth now. I believe we moved mountians on Saturday. It was so amazing to me that people could come together as one, for one cause and fast and prayer(for 12 hours straight). The time just flew and before we knew it was over.

Until next time,
Corinne

Today's Discovery

Psalms 18:28-33

You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.

I read this in the prayer room. It was a day that I was not wanting to do much. I was stress and feeling the trials of life. I read this and felt the words just popped out and catch me. I began to take a phrase and prayed it back to God. "Lord, you keep my light burning. You keep me burning and you never let me go. No matter what, you are there. It is through you I am strong...etc.." I began to get excited and strengthened as I went on. "You turn my darkness into light. All the walls are closing in on me but you are my light. Darkness can not survive. You work out things for the good for those who love you. I love you Jesus." With Him and through Him I can advance against a troop. I can do ALL things through Him. I am just being reminded of the Word of the Lord. God begins to bring to rememberance His Word and promises. His word is flawless. He is a faithful God. He is a God of His Word. Flawless! And on and on it went as I began to read His word and pray it back to Him. Power! There is power in the Word. And especially when you speak it and pray it over your life.

Today's Discovery

Wow! It's love again. I am loved!
How we can really say we know that we are loved? But do we really know? We are always looking for that validation from others and other things. We need love, we were made to love, and we were made to be loved. Jesus is love. That is a huge statement filled with so much revelation. Where is the best place to find this revelation? In the secret place.

Also trials and tribulations! Am I strong enough to stand and know my God. Is my heart in a posture before Him or my trial?

July 2008 Newsletter

Dear Family and Friends,

The kids have been doing their own thing this summer. Hannah stayed at a resort in Branson, Missouri with her little friend(Christine) for a week. She has been practicing her piano and of course playing dress up. Johanne attended a Signs and Wonders Camp, got this new Nerf dart gun, and swam pretty much the rest of the time. They went shopping for their school supplies for The Daniel Academy. Yes1 The Daniel Academy! We mentioned we were praying for the kids to attend The Daniel Academy (http://www.thedanielacademy.com/). Well, corinne was asked to teach two classes this next year(Bible 4&5th grade and Sign Language 1st-3rd grade). This will create a way for the kids to go! Thank you for all your prayers. The kids really know that God answered their prayers! Taremba & Corinne are doing great! they both thank God for bringing them here and being able to be close to Corinne's parents has been a blessing too.

IHOP
IHOP has been crying out for God's glory on a 40 day corporate fast that ends on August 8th. It has been amazing to see the hunger(literally) of God's people and the power in corporate unity. We are asking God to show us His glory as Moses did in Exodus 33. Our prayer is for the spiritual awakening of our nation and revival in specific mission fields. Our primary purpose here is to pray, grow in intimacy with God so that we may know His heart, stand up for righteousness, and serve as end-time messengers.
Corinne has joined the Prophecy Rooms which serve the visitors to the mission base. We have rooms set apart from the prayerroom in where we practice the gift of prophecy. Visitors are always coming to the base for our Weekends @ IHOP. This gives people a feel for IHOP. They come on a Friday through Sunday and get a taste of what we actually do here at IHOP. We offer seminars, lunch, two Encountering God Services, healing rooms, prophecy rooms, and a time to soak and pray in the House of Prayer. This is a real great time to come, relax, and get ministered to. If you have any desire for increase of his presence or to get a little insight about iHOP(International House of Prayer) Weekends @ IHOP might be for you! Visit http://www.ihop.org/ and check it out!

PRAYER FOR MYANMAR
Myanmar is one of our focus' since the cyclone this year. Myanmar has been closed to the gospel, outside influence, and now in the face of disaster outside assistance. One of our IHOP families have been allowed into the country. The government has agreed to let them bring aid. You can learn more at http://www.ilovemyanmar.com/

HOW CAN YOU PARTNER WITH US?

We function as Intercessory Missionaries. We are really shooting for both of us (Taremba & Corinne) to be full-time in the House of Prayer. We believe that we are effective bringing revival and transformation to the nations from the place of prayer. You can help us by praying for us personally, agreeing to intercede along with us for the outpouring and return of God and HIs glory, and prayerfully consider supporting us financially to keep the furnace burning on the alter in the House of Prayer.

Today's Discovery

Today I was in the prayer room and happened to read the parable The Good Samaritan. Said to myself, "ok". Man! I got hit with it!
I am not a person of love. I am loved and therefore I am a person of love but I haven't been walking in that love. I pick and choose who I want to love and when and where. In being off of the missionfield, I realize that wherever God has placed me IS my missionfield. I can't just choose. Love has to be part of me and in and through me. God, help me. I choose you and your love for me. Thank you for loving me in my weakness and therefore I can love. I am weak but in you I am lovely.
