Many Americans including Christians seem to believe that we ought to live in a mad (crazy) world. We certainly think otherwise. This is not about the election or endorsing any one particular candidate. It's about moral justice of a Nation. Let us not cover our eyes and ears when it comes to the issue of the shedding of innocent blood. Lord, have mercy on us.

TODAY'S DISCOVERY

Prayer is so important and effective in this age we live in. During this time in our life it seems that is all we know for sure. I was telling Taremba the other day that we need to rely on the one thing we know, that is God. This is where faith comes into play, when your life is not for sure or going the way you would like it to. The only for sure thing we know is God and His faithfulness. God and His goodness. God and His bigger plan.
Thank you, God for having each and everyone of us in the palm of your hand. Lord, cause us to be like the bride and come out of the wilderness leaning on you. She understood that her lover was her strength. She depended on him even for her steps. God give us this revelation(Song of Solomon 8:5). She clings to Him. She had desparate dependence on Him. She is depending on her beloved for help with every step. During difficulties or crisis(the wildreness) the secret place becomes our source of survival. It's only in Him that we can survive.

TODAY'S DISCOVERY

Today I discovered that my kids are getting too old too fast. I am watching them prepare for school and they don't need me to help brush their teeth, put lotion on, pour a bowl of cereal, or even buckle up in the car anymore. I love them so much and love each stage they are going through. It is so fun and exciting watching them grow up to be awesome lovers of God.

Thank you God for my children. Lord cause them to grow deep in the knowledge of your love for them.

The Call Washington DC

Our Trip to Washington DC

Man! We have been really busy! We just got back from The Call DC. Yes, Washington DC, where the president lives!!!

We had such a good time. My mom(Penny) and I took the kids. The guys had to stay they couldn't make it. We left Tuesday and drove all the way to DC. Well we actually stayed the night in Ohio and took our time. On Thursday and Friday we were able to do some sight seeing. Then on Saturday we attended The Call DC.

For those who don't know what The Call is:

TheCall is a divinely initiated, multi-racial, multi-generational, and cross-denominational gathering to corporate prayer and fasting. We believe that our nation is in desperate need of the mercy of God and a great Spiritual Awakening. TheCall is committed to mobilizing people from all across America to gather together to petition God for His undeserved mercy for our nation in 12-hour solemn assemblies. Just as in the days of Joel, we believe that now is the time to blow the trumpet across our land, to fast, to pray, and return to the Lord with all our hearts. In the midst of an “entertainment” driven society, TheCall does not seek to entertain, but to encounter God. Unlike other mass gatherings which attract people through the rhythms of loud music, the glamour of flashing lights, or through the appeal of charismatic personalities, TheCall is a gathering centered around the affections of a loving God. There will be no advertised bands and no promoted speakers, as our purpose is not to promote any man or ministry. TheCall is a FAST not a festival. TheCall is a SOLEMN ASSEMBLY not a conference. Whereas conferences focus primarily on training and discipleship, the 12 hours of TheCall are spent primarily before the Lord in the place of prayer and worship. We believe the hour is late and the times are urgent. Our nation is in desperate need of revival and it will be only through the corporate body of Christ uniting in the place of prayer that we will find any hope in this hour. We believe we can see our nation changed as the Lord pours out His Spirit and brings refreshing to the broken, destitute, and the weary across our land.

It was an experience of a life time. To be part of something that is changing history. Going to my first Call revived me. This is my purpose to call out for justice, mercy, and God's glory to come to earth now. I believe we moved mountians on Saturday. It was so amazing to me that people could come together as one, for one cause and fast and prayer(for 12 hours straight). The time just flew and before we knew it was over.

Today's Discovery

Psalms 18:28-33

You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.

I read this in the prayer room. It was a day that I was not wanting to do much. I was stress and feeling the trials of life. I read this and felt the words just popped out and catch me. I began to take a phrase and prayed it back to God. "Lord, you keep my light burning. You keep me burning and you never let me go. No matter what, you are there. It is through you I am strong...etc.." I began to get excited and strengthened as I went on. "You turn my darkness into light. All the walls are closing in on me but you are my light. Darkness can not survive. You work out things for the good for those who love you. I love you Jesus." With Him and through Him I can advance against a troop. I can do ALL things through Him. I am just being reminded of the Word of the Lord. God begins to bring to rememberance His Word and promises. His word is flawless. He is a faithful God. He is a God of His Word. Flawless! And on and on it went as I began to read His word and pray it back to Him. Power! There is power in the Word. And especially when you speak it and pray it over your life.
