We are Back!

Hi Friends,
Sorry it has been so long since our last blog. We have had a lot of changes with jobs, kids, and life. Where to start??
Well, Taremba just graduated from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy on the 18th of December. We are so proud of him. It has been a long road that we have traveled as a family to get here. It started in October 2008. Taremba has always beeen interested in public service, even in CA. When we got here to Missouri, he came across openings in the State Highway Patrol. He immediately put in an application request. He got a response and was on his way to discovering what it really was he was so interested in for so long.
He went through the applying process which was 6-8 months while working for Pepsi. Then was accepted into the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy for July 2009. The academy was for a 6 month intense training. Taremba lived in Jefferson City, MO at the academy while I was home with the kids. I worked a full time job and homeschooled the kids. Wow! Yes we did all that!
It was a very difficult time for our family but it was for a purpose. We could see the end result and that got us through.
There were times of not knowing how I was going to get through it all but in the end I saw our goal. Taremba's first station was in Portageville, MO. Portageville is a small town in the bootheel of Missouri. When we heard this news we were shocked! What we just got here to Kansas City, Missouri with our family? What are you up to God?
We had two weeks to find a place and move after graduation.
I also was diganosed with Chronic Anemia while Taremba was in the Academy. I had no red blood cells to produce iron. I was not producing or holding onto iron. My body was week and frail. I had an iron fusion which gave me iron and a back-up storage of iron too. After the iron fusion I was still being depleted of iron. So we looked into why or how my body was refusing iron. We came to the conclusion that my menstrals were depleting me every month. We tried to reduce that depletion but came to the only possible option. I am scheduled for a hysterectomy(is that how you spell it?) next week.
Well, we moved December 28th to Portageville. Taremba started his new job on the 4th of Jan.
We have been here a month and it's feeling a little like home. It will just come with time. The kids are really settling in well. They love it here. Hannah is in 3rd grade and Johanne is in the 6th grade. They are so suprised by the people here. They are so welcoming and truely nice!
We have been through quite a bit in the last year and still are in the thick of it. Through it all I can say that I am learning to stay firm on my foundation. Knowing that my faith is going to get me through this. God has not forsaken me but knows the plans for my life before I do. He is faithful and true. In the midst of troubles it is hard to see the purpose or future but I only can trust in Him. All my life I have seen His beautiful hand in my life take control. He has seen me through and never let me go. He has been true to His word. So I can only trust in that word and know that He God who loves me. He actually loves me in my weakness. In the depths of despair he loves me and picks me up. I don't understand the plans He has for me but I know it's not to harm me or forsake me. He is Lord over my life. It is time I really let Him be Lord huh! :) (No matter what that means)
So we are here in Portageville, MO and enjoying being with each other through this new adventure in our lives.
So I look forward to sharing more. I have been out but I am back in the game! :)

I was wondering where you guys had gone to when I saw Chara's status that you were moving away. Thanks for posting about it! Praying that your health returns and your family is blessed in every way.
